I cleaned up the Free Stuff page so it is less random decoration and more useful page pieces: update boxes, link cards, guestbook nudges, and tiny status strips. The best freebies are things someone can actually paste into their own little corner of the web.
currently: thinking about what makes a site feel generous instead of just busy.
The Web Zine is turning into an actual mini magazine: coverlines, a quiz, useful ideas, a copyable update box, and pages that flip like a tiny online YM. I want it to feel like finding a folded magazine page in a desk drawer.
tiny victory: the article titles finally match the inside box.
The side rails are starting to feel like one connected portal instead of separate pieces. The purple blocks, green buttons, right-side cards, and Sockpod player are all arguing less now, which is honestly progress.
note to self: when the page gets too loud, fix spacing before changing colors.
The about page wants to be a fashion quiz, a horoscope column, a bedroom wall, and a secret profile card all at the same time. That is the whole site mood: glossy, weird, personal, and a little overexcited.
favorite detail: anything that looks like it came from a 2001 sidebar.
The guestbook works. That makes the whole site feel less like a folder of files and more like a place someone can visit, poke around, and leave a tiny proof that they were here.
still cute: seeing the first real entry show up.
